After the long Christmas break, the children of Idugo and Supinho are back at school and the reading sessions have been resumed. Children of all ages come to these sessions, which take place every Saturday in the community house. The older children, who attended in previous years take the lead, thus inspiring their younger peers.

Each session focuses on a short section of a story which is acted out and discussed, often engendering laughter and discussion. Many of the younger children do not know how to read and their older peers serve as a guide and an inspiration.

In these sessions, those who are more advanced in their reading ability support those who are struggling, thereby generating a spirit of solidarity and support between all the children.
