Reading and Fun

Saturday reading sessions in the reading corners are a source of learning and fun. Children have the opportunity to improve their reading skills outside of the school environment, while laughing and discussing stories that are both entertaining and educational. For example, The Little Black Prince teaches them respect for races and that playing together is always better and more fun and they identify with him more. Another story, The Origin of Rain, talks about the feelings of sadness often associated with clouds, but the goddess Ombela taught them that sadness is a phase and they should always try to see the bright side of things.

These books, donated by Alex Shankland, one of the Trustees of the Zalala Foundation, are a great way for children to come together on Saturdays and learning while having lots of fun.
