Our founder, Angela Hadjipateras, has just returned from an extended visit to Supinho and Idugo Island – the two remote coastal communities where we work hand-in-hand with local residents.
During her time on the ground, Angela met with our dedicated project teams, provincial and district directors of health and education, local community leaders, women’s empowerment groups, and youth clubs. For us, true development means listening closely, ensuring we are guided by local needs, and creating sustainable solutions with our communities, never simply for them.
Reflecting on the past decade, Angela left feeling immensely proud of what has been achieved over the past 10 years through resilience, collaboration, and trust. At the same time, she returns to the UK with a renewed sense of clarity and vital priorities for our immediate and long-term future.
We have so many inspiring stories and photos to share in the weeks and months ahead – from our meetings with local healthcare and education directors to updates on the incredible young women in our Quelimane Group who are now pursuing university degrees and vocational training.
Be sure to sign up for our mailing list (scroll to the bottom of this page to subscribe) and follow our updates on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!
