Girls celebrate St Patrick’s Day

As a token of their gratitude for the generous support of the Irish Government in Mozambique, the members of ORIS, together with their collaborators from the Girls Association of Zambezia and members of the Children’s Parliament, celebrated St Patrick’s Day, one of the most important days in the Irish calendar. It is a day when the Irish celebrate their strong links and cultural ties with other nations. In Mozambique, it is a day when the fruits of Ireland’s support for the health, education and other sectors dating back nearly 25 years are recognised and honoured. This year, the focus was on mitigating the effects of climate change and on highlighting resilience in the face of COVID-19 through the fusion of music and dance.
