The Idugo Maternity Centre is now its final stages and is due to be completed ahead of schedule by early December!

This has been made possible with the cooperation of the whole community, from the leaders, to the men, women and children on the island who have contributed their labour and in other ways supported the construction process.

In the next weeks, the next stage, involving the building of the staff house, the well and water tower, the sceptic tank and the incinerator will commence and it is hoped that by the end of year, the maternity will commence operations. The whole community is awaiting this moment with enormous excitement and anticipation!
