Japanese Embassy representative visits Idugo Maternity Centre

On 28th October, Ms Junko Arisaka from the Japanese Embassy came to visit the Maternity wing prior to the inauguration scheduled for the 9th December. She was warmly greeted by the girls of Idugo who sang her a welcome song and accompanied her all the way to the site. Upon arrival at the site, members of the Zalala Foundation showed her around the building and answered questions.

Ms Junko addressed community representatives and thanked them for their contributions to the works. She was also shown the nurses’s house, the well, the water tower and other building work in progress. Before leaving, she made a speech informing the people present of the forthcoming arrival of the Japanese Ambassador for the official inauguration of the centre.
