Today, all 8 girls studying in Quelimane joined other protestors as they marched through Quelimane town marking the first day of the Fortnight against Violence Against Women (25th November to 10th December). This fortnight is celebrated internationally to draw attention to and protest against the many forms of violence suffered by girls and women all over the world. These girls have played an active role in their communities over the last 2 years as leaders and activists in the projects supported by the Zalala Foundation and the Government of Ireland through Irish Aid. We are proud and happy that they continue to make their voices heard in defence of the rights of girls and women all over the world.
